Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival 2016 | Korea

Life is fragile yet overwhelmingly beautiful... Agree?

One of the best things about spring is... CHERRY BLOSSOM! Imagine walking in the park, with all the blushing blooming trees along. I'd been to Tokyo once during spring season and that is when I started falling in love with cherry blossoms. Seriously, they're breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL, truly blew me away! Other than Japan, Korea is another place you can actually enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms, there're a few places that you ought to visit!

Cherry blossom shows the fragility and the beauty of life, they're beautiful yet tragically short. They somehow remind us how precious our life is and we have to cherish the beautiful moment of our life. It's not easy to catch cherry blossoms though, as the blooming of the cherry blossoms varies every year and it usually lasts for two weeks. BUT, wind or rain will shorten the period, so you have to catch the time precisely if you want to see the cherry when they are in bloom.

This was my first time visiting cherry blossoms in Korea, while searching for the cherry blossom places in Korea, I stumbled upon TRAZY.COM, there were a list of cherry blossoms activities going on!

WHAT IS TRAZY.COM?

Travel + Crazy = Trazy

TRAZY actually allows you to discover and book latest, newest, trendiest things/activities to do in Korea at discounted price. For example, they have a list of where to visit during cherry blossom season, and they offered tour packages for all the travellers, need not to worry about transportation already when you book through their website!

We have booked our tour package as seen here, to Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival. They actually offered 3 options, KTX (Korean Bullet Train), Mungunghwa-ho Train, and bus. We got the bus option because other options were sold out, I would recommend travellers to get first two options if you do not like long journey, as it takes around 7 hours to reach destination by bus, whereas 4-6 hours for KTX/Train.

**You may click here for full itinerary**

    2. With all due respect, Miss JessicaTan. I don't agree that the author couldn't use LITERALLY in this case you've mentioned.

Literally could be used in an informal way - used for emphasis or to express strong feeling while not being literally true.

"I have received literally thousands of letters"

"I was literally blown away by such magnificent view"

      JUST MY TWO CENTS. CHEERS!

    4. Dear Caryne,
If you're writing with all due respect, I think your first comment actually sounded more polite. And learning from you, I too had copied from the internet. So, look at what oxford has to say:

In its standard use literally means ‘in a literal sense, as opposed to a non-literal or exaggerated sense’, as for example in I told him I never wanted to see him again, but I didn’t expect him to take it literally. In recent years an extended use of literally (and also literal) has become very common, where literally (or literal) is used deliberately in non-literal contexts, for added effect, as in they bought the car and literally ran it into the ground. This use can lead to unintentional humorous effects ( we were literally killing ourselves laughing) and is not acceptable in formal contexts, though it is widespread.

Thanks to all the people like you who misuses the word, Oxford then had no choice but to give in and accepted it for informal usage. But it is not recommended for use formally at all.

JUST MY TWO CENTS TOO! CHEERSSSS!!!

      Regards,
      Dr. Jessica

    5. Well DR (If you have to emphasis your title here which it deemed unnecessary) Jessica, mind your words when you quote PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

Secondly, would you enlighten me where's my second comment since you've mentioned my first comment sounded more polite?

And since you're so against improper grammar & vocab, I reckon that your writing should adhere perfectly to the conventional formal context. I ran through your blog, clearly you need some guidance on, say, direct translation problems? :) (I strongly believe you would take in such HONEST comments since you weren't exactly being friendly in the first place regarding other's error)

And since you find CAPS typing are soooo rudeeee, I replied this with your preferred way <3

      Warm regards,
Ms. Caryne *and take a chill pill :P*

    6. @Chenelle No prob ;) Love how you handle harsh predicament like this. Nobody's perfect and everyone of us are in the process of learning, I don't find it a need to feel superior than others and being mean over such petty stuffs.

  4. "But it is not recommended for use formally at all. "

You do realize that your sentence is completely wrong in terms of grammar, right DR JESSICA? I mean how possible a wise PHD holder would make such unacceptable mistake on such an easy sentence, I reckon? :(

I believe you wanted to write something like below instead of above :)

"It is not recommended to use it formally at all."

"It is not recommended for formal usage at all."

  6. You know what? You're right, you're definitely right. My English is poor and I need guidance on direct translations, most importantly my character is atrocious as I emphasised on my qualification and title. No intentions of arguing at all. If you have time, guide me and help me with your great English knowledge. Thanks! ;)
